InfoWorld reports on settlement discussions between Microsoft and US government.

UserLand's Brent Simmons was interviewed by a Microsoft pollster today. Here's his report.

A former Microsoft employee comes closest, I think, to a plausible explanation of why Gates works so hard. I've been hearing from a lot of people in and out of Microsoft, but want to keep the speculation down. Most of us haven't got a clue what it means to be someone else.
