Say goodbye to DEC. I have fond memories. I learned assembly language on a PDP-11. What a beautiful machine! Now DEC is part of Compaq. Ohhh the big wheel keeps on turning. {imageref ("digital")}

Due to a LAN glitch, the DaveNet home page had the wrong piece for the last 18 hours or so. I'm starting to get email on it. It's OK, it was a good piece, written a little less than a month ago, and it's worth a re-read. The network gods were at work here!
